Cambridge Bootcamps

18 Fisher's Ln, Cambridge CB1 9HR, UK – 07545 284928

Honestly joining Cambridge Bootcamps is one of the best desicions I have ever made to start my journey to start taking care of myself better - both physically and mentally. It has been a life changing experience in so many levels, and the support I have received form Charlie and the other members (I feel like by now I actually deserve the honor to call these amazing ladies as my friends) have helped me so much to become stronger physically, yet kinder to myself both mentally, and emotionally. With a massive and sincere help from Charlie, I also started learning about how to alleviate some long standing health issues only by making better nutrition choices and using proper supplements. I have seen massive relief and results by only following the information she made available for us. It has been the most fun education/ journey that I have ever experienced, and it has never felt like it is work, it is therapy for me. I also got to meet genuine, caring and amazing ladies. I have all the intentions to keep progressing and having fun in Charlie's lead and my friends' support. For me it has been an honor to know Charlie and I just truly love her, and also love her unique approach to make us get stronger in the best possible way and the setting- love love love the nature- If you are considering joining, I would say just go for a trial and see what I mean.... Thank you Charlie! And I love you!❤️

Best Bootcamp group ever! I have so enjoyed the morning heart-starter at CBC, working out alongside brilliant, friendly ladies from all levels of fitness. With the indomitable Charlie at the helm, you are guaranteed to come away with a sense of pride and new-found strength- both physical and mental!

Local Chambers of Commerce for CB1. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!

Dental Surgeries

Antwerp House Dentistry Cambridge

36 Brookfields, Cambridge CB1 3NW, UK – 01223 247690

I'm very picky about health care professionals. I seek others opinions before deciding who to try and if I'm not fully happy look around for others. I've gone through this process multiple times as I've moved from place to place, including in London, New York City, San Francisco, and now Cambridge. I am extremely impressed with Louisa Lawrence at Antwerp House. Despite having found excellent dentists in the other places I've lived, Louisa is clearly superb. She is very caring and careful about painless dentistry in a clear and straightforward way. Explained things very clearly. Gives excellent answers to questions. Never seemed rushed. And, last but of course not least, has done excellent work on my teeth. She has my highest recommendation. Edit: I just read the review by Scott Atkins in which he wrote of Louisa Lawrence, I fully agree with, and have my own experience to support, his sentiment: "She obviously cares a huge amount about her work & her patients, and I felt like she genuinely put my needs as a patient above everything else. She demonstrated this on more than one occasion by going the extra mile to give me the best care and results possible."

I was a regular visitor at Antwerp House for about 5 months, for normal dental work followed by subsequent orthodontic work (Inman aligner). During my time there I was fortunate enough to be looked after by Dr. Louisa Lawrence and Ashley, who were both extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I was always made to feel comfortable and relaxed, and I felt well-informed at all times, as Louisa clearly explained everything to me throughout my treatment. With regard to my dental treatment itself, the results have been absolutely fantastic and my treatment has made a huge difference! Louisa is without question the best dentist I’ve ever had. Her flexible approach meant she was always happy to find time to see me and to adapt to my circumstances, even if that meant re-arranging her own schedule! She obviously cares a huge amount about her work & her patients, and I felt like she genuinely put my needs as a patient above everything else. She demonstrated this on more than one occasion by going the extra mile to give me the best care and results possible. I can’t recommend her enough. She’s set the bar very high for my next dentist! Finally, the reception staff were always very nice & polite too. Regards Scott

Cherry Hinton Dental Centre

39B High St, Cambridge CB1 9HX, UK – 01223 414844

It took a head crippling toothache to force me through the door of this establishment and to break a 25-year long avoidance of dentists. Within minutes I was put at ease and wondering what all the fuss had been about. I'm now a regular visitor. It's a small team here. The receptionist doubles up as the assistant and the dentists personally welcome you in and out. Very friendly and informal, and much less intimidating than bigger practices. Visiting the dentist is never going to be at the top of your list of fun things to do, but here it's nothing to be feared either.

I moved to Cherry Hinton about a year ago and needed to find a local dentist - I found Cherry Hinton Dental Clinic easily as they are located right on the High Street. I love that the clinic has parking in the front for those who drive and it's easily accessible via bus. The reception team are always very friendly and helpful at the clinic and the waiting room is comfortable (thank you for the magazines however I've never had to wait more than a few seconds for my appointment). I have been to the clinic for various treatments in the past year - gum hygiene, fillings and consultation after I chipped my tooth. I have always found the clinic to been immaculate and comfortable. I have seen both dentists at the clinic - Suzanne and Joanna - both are extremely professional, warm and friendly. It's a delight to have dentist who can speak with you with confidence and with the level of comfort you need. My chipped tooth was repaired and quite frankly looks better than it did before. The gum hygiene treatments are pain-free and have improved the integrity of my gums where they have gone from bleeding every day to not at all. I know everyone dreads having anesthetic for fillings but I have to say - you don't feel it in the capable hands of Suzanne and Joanna. I've been extremely happy with my dental care and I'm sure you will too.

Cambridge Dental Access Centre

94 Seymour St, Cambridge CB1 3DQ, UK – 01223 723093

Absolutely brilliant service from the people I visited today. They helped me and reassured me throughout the whole process, and the dentist herself was amazing, she could tell I was very nervous and was amazing. Unfortunately I forgot her name, she said it was her first day back for a while today and had a slight Australian accent. Brilliant and a shining example of how great our NHS can be :)

Even without an appointment, they were able to visit me really promptly and with low expenses. Staff was really warm, kind and professional.

Queen Edith Medical Practice

Very good, nice kind staff

Fulbourn Health Centre

Haggis Gap, Fulbourn, Cambridge CB21 5HD, UK – 01223 880216

We registered with the practice when we moved to Fulbourn four years ago.My husband Roger and myself have nothing but praise for the doctors nurses and the lovely friendly receptionists. A year ago our world was turned upside down when Roger was diagnosed with bladder cancer. It is due to a prompt referral to Addenbrooke's by the GP that it was caught in the early stages and although it was an aggressive form it hadn't spread outside the bladder. The care and support we had and continue to have from everyone at the health centre is so much appreciated, nothing is ever too much trouble our grateful thanks to them all.

Excellent items for sale. Very friendly staff.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Great food, good service, good prices.

I used to go here when I lived locally over a year ago. Sadly the food and service have both suffered. The food is ok, but definitely not as good as it used to be. The service is a bit 'distant' now.

Maido House Chinese Takeaway

The White Hart Country Inn

1 Balsham Rd, Fulbourn, Cambridge CB21 5BZ, UK – 01223 880264

Really friendly staff and great food - good variety and range of prices on the menu

The inn was conveniently located on the outskirts of Cambridge. It was accessible off a fairly busy road but the road noise was not a problem. The staff were friendly and helpful, we were able to pick up our room key early as we had somewhere else to be and the staff were very accommodating. The room was nice and clean, with everything you would expect it to include. Breakfast was really good, with a wide range of choice. Overall a good experience and fairly priced.

I went to the senior school.Got very good GCSE results with the help from the excellent teachers. I believe that I wouldn't of been able to get these result with out the help of the teachers. Soon I'm going to be starting the ,new, 6th form and hope that with the same learning style I will do as well as I did with my GCSE's.

Cambridge Steiner School

Hinton Rd, Fulbourn CB21 5DZ, UK – 01223 882727

We returned to the Cambridge Steiner School from the USA where my four boys had been studying at a Steiner (Waldorf) school for 10 years and loved every day of it. My eldest finished at 18 and is now at UC Berkeley in California, and my second is at Hills Road 6th Form, Cambridge, and wants to study engineering at university . Now it is just my youngest (10 years old) who is at the Cambridge Steiner School , and the year has flown by with a wonderful set of teachers, inspired curriculum (which, as a teacher as well as a parent I have looked into), school field trips, and of course the music, singing, crafts, and two foreign languages Steiner pupils all engage in. All my boys have turned out interested in all the subjects - both sciences and arts, and have grown into happy, mature, well-informed, and caring individuals . The Cambridge Steiner school is still growing so classes are small, parents know each other well and participate in the community life of the school. The Steiner School is situated within cycling distance of Cambridge, and there is a school bus that picks children up at various different sites around the city. Close to the school is the village of Fulbourn and the Fulbourn Nature Reserve. One afternoon every week, the children walk with their teacher to the woods to explore, to play games and to have an outdoor lesson.

Landmark International School

9 Church Ln, Fulbourn, Cambridge CB21 5EP, UK – 01223 755100

What a wonderful warm welcome we received from all staff when we recently visited this new international school. The teaching staff are well experienced and extremely motivated to provide all round care, compassion and educational excellence. Nothing is too much trouble...if your child needs mother-tongue language lessons, this can be arranged. The students were delightful, polite and confident. A super school with a different homely atmosphere, highly recommended.

I have visited the Landmark International School on several occasions and have a friend whose children attend there. I could not praise the school highly enough; the teachers and learning are amazing, the pastoral care is second to none and the atmosphere is positive and happy.
